Rob Baines
Canadian born Rob began his career as a merchant banker having completed a bachelor degree in Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Having worked in Sydney and London with several investment companies, Rob decided to take on a whole new challenge in 1991.
For three years, he lived and breathed coffee; conducting extensive market research into coffee retailing in Eastern Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. His knowledge led him to found The Coffee Club Limited in 1994, with the first ever coffee outlets based at the two most popular tourist sites in Britain– St. Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.
With an extensive knowledge of the coffee industry and a well grounded business expertise behind him, Rob founded Tinto Coffee in 1998. Since then, Rob has developed Tinto into a successful and profitable company, constantly looking for creative and fresh ideas whilst never compromising the quality of the coffee it serves.
Pablo Uribe
Company Director Pablo Uribe, is an Architect and Interior Designer. Mr. Uribe is Colombian by birth, a British citizen by acquisition, and has been resident in the United Kingdom for the past 13 years. He holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, and has studied at the Architectural Association in Bedford Square, after which he worked for Lady Victoria Waymouth’s architectural department and the London showroom of B&B Italia.
Mr Uribe launched his own London based Architecture and Interior design studio, Studio Uribe, in 1999. Today it has offices in both London and Miami. Studio Uribe specializes in addressing the complete architectural and interior design process in its creation of highly individualised spaces.
Studio Uribe is dedicated to researching new and exciting materials and furnishings while staying true to the practice’s ethos: that a comfortable atmosphere is created by the effective organization of space and manipulation of light. Studio Uribe has been responsible for numerous private residential commissions and commercial ventures. Residential projects include a private residence for Calvin Klein in Miami Beach and luxury homes in Ireland, Ecuador, Colombia, New York and the Hamptons.
Commercial projects include a number of retail outlets in London and Venezuela; tintocoffee on Fulham Palace Road being one of them.
Paul Arbelaez
Paul has been employed by tintocoffee for over seven years as the manager of the outlet.
During this time, Paul, who hails from Bogota in Colombia, has helped to create a unique atmosphere in Tinto.
He is well known among customers for his high-octane energy, attention to detail, and his kind personality.
Fumiko Monzen
Fumiko who hails from Japan has a Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. She came to London to improve her spoken and written English.
